We were different yet not
Two souls sailing in the same boat
By the looks of your pale face
Surely none waiting you on the shore
As I was traveling without destination
I knew thy heart as it were in chest mine
Looking back with eyes wet at the shore left
I wished the journey prolonged
You wished it to have no end
Disparity of fate we both received
By unfair luck were we both deceived
On mercy of wind was voyage ours
Who cared? I neither you
Indifferent were waves of sea
Stayed all still, seriously silent
Conspiracy! In heart of ocean
Against we two, I sensed
The waves rose like a hill of water
The fearful sight got us close
Kept a tight grip on my hand
And placed your head on shoulder mine
Two broken hearts had glimpse of hope
The waves eased, the fear ceased
Two souls sailing in the same boat
Now were each others' destinies
