I was born with an empty mind
To be filled by myself as I age
It is up to me what I will fill; a strong
Will power, noble and pure thoughts
Or simply borrowed garbage
Step by step I will move forward
Second by second death approaches me
What I fill into my mind will be
The deciding factor whether in the face
Of death I lose hope or remain calm as a sea
The deep insightfulness of the poem infers that you will calmly embrace that moment. Great poem, Anil!
