Is There A Bond More Intact

Rating: 5.0

As a seed,
Drawing sustenance from its kernel
Sprouts
A child securely asleep in its mother's womb,
And swimming in the slushy warmth
Of her placental stream
Is born one day to an eerie world.
Thereon a magical closed circle is drawn
In which the mother and the child
Lock themselves in....

Maturing through time
From an infant to an adult
All along, a tender synergy develops
Between the mother and the child
Starting even before birth,
Spanning across life!

A mother's love pours forth
Like the gush of a fountain
That in its inundating tide
Drowns all other forms of love

To a mother, her baby
Is a treasure beyond price
Her arms encircle him,
In her tight hold, he feels secure
Rocking him, singing lullabies
Kneeling in prayer time and again
Whispering prayers to God for his well being
She spends sleepless nights,
Tending her flesh of flesh

Fashioned like an angel,
A mother
The wondrous creation of God's dexterous hands!

Her heart, a well spring from which flows all goodness
Breeding only love,
Never failing, never faltering
And a child wallows in its splendor
That they remain
So glued together!

An excellent version from the horse's mouth. Who else other than a mother can express all that, so lucidly? I like anything written particularly about mother. Wonderful. Thank you for the most inspiring gem like poem.X

A Mother's love for her child is far above and far beyond the material things that we crave for. It is akin to the blissful love that God showers on us every moment of the day. Great portrayal. Thanks, Valsa ji. Drowning all other forms of love in its inundating tide

A love...never failing, never faltering. How beautifully maternal love is presented in this poem. This poem has fully captured the beauty of mother and child's relationship..inarguably the loveliest thing to happen to mankind n all other forms of creation. A marvelous read!

Wow! Totally love this beautiful poem of motherhood creating a child, nourishing it, letting it grow unselfishly inside her womb. A total selfless being creating a bond with a baby, wanting only the best in life for him/her. Protecting and unconditionally loving a child is truly a beautiful relationship for a human being to attain. Close to Godliness. 10+ Thank you for sharing this fantastic poem, Valsa. RoseAnn
