I looked up
My eyes tell me she's delightful
But I am in doubt
I have been tricked so many times
Just another false
Like a chameleon always in disguise
So I ask,

Is she the one?

I try to uncover her mask
Find out more about her past
But it's encrypted
She's been tricked so many times
Just sealed away from sight
Playing hard to get all the time
So I ask,

Is she the one?

We had this in common
She opened up
But with some hesitation
I could sense the tension in the air
Thought to say 'Don't be afraid'
Instead I looked down and carried on
Then I said,

She probably wasn't the ONE
