Heart Of A Revolutionist Poem by Jacob Arden

Heart Of A Revolutionist

First let me get your attention
In using my pen as my AK-47
More like my keyboard
As I am a modern revolutionist
Equipped by my Tweets and Facebook statuses
That's the heart of my revolution

We make events
Take it out on the streets
With our loud music
Dancing with frustration
Expressing our emotion
Sometimes we express it on the State Police
That's the heart of our revolution

It has much deeper reasons
From inequality to tuition fees
Passing by exploitation and corporation control
As we know no borders when it comes to this
Our storms take the entire world
From Wall St to Kolkata
That's the heart of our revolution

We are the 21st century generation
Criticised by many for being reckless
Perhaps we are
But only to those that are the problem
So we try to be part of the solution
But we have those outliers
That don't represent our voices
Only causing anarchy
Despite, not stopping our revolution
Our loud demonstrations
That's the heart of OUR REVOLUTION
