Innocent Acts Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Innocent Acts

Innocent acts

I love my land
I love friends
As I lived there with all
And shared their grief call

I was to be the first
To rush and quench their thrust
I never kept myself away
And walked along their way

It was village wind
That could find me
With mixed with flowers
I smelt their fragrance forever

The street children also made great impact
With their innocent acts
I thought of their golden future
But I visualized their mood and pleasure

I really went deep
And kept
All memories intact
It was simple fact

Now I want to go away
As I failed to get comfortable stay
With rejection from girlfriend
I felt it was a tragic end

The dark clouds were hovering
And ordering me
To find out new companion
I was in no mood for any more union
