With closed eyes you are lying.
A chuckle on your lips shows
You enjoyed the last joke of
Your tormented life!
I called you so many times.
But, you never replied.
Well, let's meet in that forest,
Where there is no grief, no memory
Of sad, burdened years of past.
There only stays bliss of heaven
Or the peace you loved always here,
On Earth, our momentary cell.
The fragrance of incense is
Around you, no defaming word.
Only love and applause
Are being showered.
You might have taken once chance more,
To enjoy this fountain of happiness.
But, ashes can not give back life.
Stay there near Ekti river, in
That forest, until I reach........
Ashes can not give back life. But the right to dream is ours as long as sparks are buried under the ashes. Lovely poem. Thanks for sharing.

I would like to translate this poem
'But, ashes can not give back life' - a nice thought. I've also like the elaboration of this thought by poetess Savita Tyagi.
