Imperceptible Mist Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Imperceptible Mist

Rating: 5.0

The city streets
Cry for love
Like a stray puppy,

But like a dog abandoned
And kicked in the stomach,
Only distrust survives
As everyone walks alone
Through the imperceptible mist
Of alienation.

A sad state of affairs, is it not, that one can't even walk along a moonlit path or take a lovers stroll along the crashing waves of some white sand beach without worrying about who might be following? Finding your car in a parking garage after dark - using the ATM in the early morning hours - taking the long, well-lit way home as opposed to the shortcut through the alley - an unfortunate sign of the times. Very well done, Uriah. Sad, but true. Shannon P.S. Can't we all just get along? lol

it is so sad the fact that you can not trust anyone at all.. I liked the metaphor you used, the abandoned dog would bite the next time someone comes close.. HBH
