Impatience Poem by Mark Heathcote

Impatience

Let me cover you in kisses
Slowly notch up my convictions
I’ll promise to be faithful:
If, you’d me promise to be playful.

Truly, yes I promise to be fun!
If your heart will but succumb.
As to my one rule of thumb,
I don’t normally, look this glum.

Kiss me there’s no need to think
I was never gifted with patience
Teen-life is so full of declarations …
“Let not even the ice melt, before we clink”.
