Ignited Lamp Poem by Abdul Wahab

Ignited Lamp

Rating: 5.0

Searched throughout the nook and corner
But did not find anything anywhere
To mention here some hills or few seas
That would surely kill
And spoil the flow and taste
Rather I should go straight like sun -rays
And reflect upon the point direct
So, i am sorry to say I am very sad to state
Nowhere but nowhere in no place
I find what my seeker heart searches
I was advised to go from bottom to top
To ride to run like pony from cliff to cliff
Did I all earnestly but nothing I gain
Finally I gave up and bitterly frustrated
And sat upon my shadow tight
But on the day of my return
On a very lazy late dark night
That desired wonder happened
The lamp inside anyhow ignited
Now I can see, express and write
Now I can wash and clean my heart
Along with my hands and dirty feet

Frustration is left and the path of light and joy is adopted. Due to light, now you can see, write and express thought. This poem is very beautifully penned.10
