If You Were Poem by Edwina Reizer

If You Were

Rating: 4.0

If you were to venture in the fall
when all the leaves are bright,
I’d pray that before the leaves were all gone
I’d see you in my sight.

If you were traveling in wintertime
when icicles on the eaves
were slowly melting drip by drip,
I’d see you before you leave.

If you were passing in the spring time breeze
when pretty flowers grow,
I’d wish that while they were in full bloom,
I’d see you before they go.

If you were a stay at home person
because of the summer’s heat,
I’d pray that I could visit you
and finally we could meet.
