If You Don'T Know It By Now Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

If You Don'T Know It By Now

Guess the information
didn't go through
you should have understood it
the second I told you
do you know the difference
between fiction and reality?
Was it a defense mechanism
devised to make you happy?
because you have condemned
the truth and desperately
Found a way to combat rejection
age ain't nothing but a number
Made obvious from what you're projecting
You always get
what you want
but what you want
don't want you
and your everything's better plan
is so not in demand
that's only true
when you're living in neverland
I will never love you
what about it you don't understand?
If you don't know it by now
I'm just never ever going want you
