I Shall Not Be Moved Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

I Shall Not Be Moved

Rating: 5.0

Shower me with your hate and fear
i'm to strong to be in tears
kill me with your jealousy and whispers
eventually you'll surrender
I shall not be moved by your comments
because i'm not no little child
i'm all you want to be
I shall not be moved
to you who wants to imprison me
i'm free
the hate inside is doing more damage to your soul
and frankly, what you're doing is getting old
I've told you once and i'll tell you again
I shall not be moved
Because I refuse to let you win
So keep talking
It ain't hurting me
This name leaving your mouth obviously means one thing
i'm important, Important enough to be mentioned
go ahead try and break me down
I'll stay stand strong as long as i'm around
so keep trying to destroy my soul
you'll never succeed
I'm a survivor and I stand bold
