I Thought Globally Poem by Vera Sidhwa

I Thought Globally

I Thought Globally

I thought globally today,
And my or my what thoughts came my way.
It wasn't as if I thought fast thoughts.
It wasn't as if I thought not.

But fleeting images of wars gone by,
Hooked my attention to terror gone awry.
I felt the tension of the population,
As they watched war in escalation.

I thought globally today,
And I started hard to pray,
But nobody answered one prayer.
Nobody looked my way.

I thought globally today,
As if to say,
I hoped against hope.
I thought globally anyway.

Aloha Vera This is a power filled thought... Thinking outside of one's private sand box... on any issue would be a positive movement towards the future... and just may save the species... The ugliness of the non-globally thinking citizen; and there are multitudes of these types... has made America the laughing stock of the world... I also consciously consider the entire globe when IAM in my thinking mode... which is every waking moment... Thank you for approaching this complex subject and for simplifying the point within your post... all of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaeltwo
