I remember when I had nothing
My soul was empty
I wanted more and plenty,
Then God gave me something.
He gave me the hope and desire,
To keep me away from Hell's fire.
I remember walking all alone
No one ever proudly at my side
No one to which I could trust or confide,
Even the people I had loved and known.
Then that feeling God got rid of,
When he showed me his everlasting love.
I remember asking for help
And no one was ever there
Even the ones to who I gave my love and care,
The beach was deserted except for the kelp.
Then I felt the warmth of the sun,
God gave me his son.
