I Remember Poem by Randy McClave

I Remember

Rating: 5.0

I remember who had ignored me
I remember who had floored me,
And the one who said they adored me
Just so to walk towards me.
For there own selfish benefit.

I remember those who have abused
I remember those who tricked and used,
Especially when I was lost and confused
And my soul again got bruised.
Then the hand of friendship, they bit.

I remember those who I had prayed for
I remember those who I had stayed for,
The ones who I had gave aid for
The one who I was always afraid for.
Then from me they did split.

I remember of never being ashamed
I remember of being falsely blamed,
Then I wasn't given credit and left unnamed
I felt sad and shamed.
Alone in solitude I sadly sit.

I remember who I had supported
I remember the one who I thought I courted,
The one who I drove andtransported
So their life wouldn't be thwarted.
I remember, and I will not ever forget.
