I Love & Miss My Sister Nancy Poem by Florence Wagar

I Love & Miss My Sister Nancy

Rating: 5.0

February 18th 1990 My sister Nancy went home

Today was the day Nancy God took you home.
You needed the rest but your not alone.

I hope that you know.
I think of you fondly.

You are burned in my memory
as ever so kindly.

Should anyone one ask I would have to shout.
You were a great sister there is no doubt.

I love when I think of the things that you did
you always made us laugh & feel like a kid.

You also were there for me when troubles did brew
with your sisterly advice that never fell through.

You did the world justice with your love so true.
There will never be anyone else like you.

I know you are watching from high up above.
Your always keeping your eye's on the ones you love.

Because your not here some things do not change.
Your undying love is not out of your range.

Your stories will go on till the end of my time.
They make no sense they make no rhyme.

When we meet again we can laugh some more.
I know that was your specialty for sure.

So when my time comes & if I pass the test
will you do for me what you do best.

Surround me with love & welcome me home
I want to be there I will not roam.

I love & miss you all Cissy

Oh dearie, I salute your melancholy poetic flair. I lost my dad at 22 in 2009 and I can exactly know how you feel. The only tribute to our loved ones demised is doing the things they encouraged us to do and continuing the projects they left unfinished. It is perfectly in order to mourn your sister's departure this way...I rate it 10/10...

A beautiful message. Very nostalgic. You must have had a wonderful sister. I'm sure she's as proud of you as you were/are of her. Wish you the best. 10
