My Brother Bill Poem by Florence Wagar

My Brother Bill

My brother Bill.

I remember bill in your hay day
you were so handsome you made girls sway.

The years went by so long ago
but before we knew it we all got slow.

But I have to say that even though
we all got older you said oh no.

You made it day by day with a determined will
to go about your business even when you fell

But got right back up & carried on
.cause you were tough as nail's & very head strong.

I admired your drive to be self sufficient
even when it didn't seem proficient.

You were determined to do it your way that's how you were
You asked for no help and refused any offers

So day by day all by yourself is how you got through
No one can ever take that from you.

So my brother strong & yet so sweet I hope again someday we meet
Until we do just don't forget I will always love & will miss you

My dear brother Billy do it your way it is what carried you through.
