A Parent's Prayer Poem by Florence Wagar

A Parent's Prayer

As I lay my head down.
My thoughts of you my darling will be.

You are my angel that someday I will see.

That when you see someone cry you will fly from above.
& you will spread your wings & sing as a dove.

Mommy & Daddy don't cry for me
I am here with God & at peace you see.

For God's love surrounds & holds me dear
Don't worry Mommy & Daddy I know you care.

So mommy & daddy don't cry for me
because God made me one of his angel's you see'

He wanted me home so no choice did you have
Remember Mommy & Daddy God takes no bad.

We will meet again someday I know it's true
I was told by God.to give this message to you.

I am not saying goodbye you see.

I am saying I will see you later that's for sure.
I will be the one waiting at the door.
