I can hear the sound
Of friendship and love
Coming from a distant stream
That runs around the village's rim

I can hear the sound
Of brotherhood and trust
As the stream moves ahead
Across the valleys' undulating bed

I can hear the sound
Of a child running fast
With pure heart and mind
As the stream leaves the huts behind

I can hear the sound
Of a song of lasting peace
When deep through foliage
The stream moves on till its old age
