I Am Hurt Poem by Chris Townsend

I Am Hurt

Feel my pain as I feel yours,
One more slammed sensation, fingers trapped door,
Cry your shallow tears of dread,
Not much further now, soon be dead,
Take this knife thrust it so,
I want you to hear my scream, the end to know,
Push the boundary’s as I can see no end,
I have stood my ground, no honor to defend,
I took your shout’s I took your grief,
I guess, this poor boy, end relief,
As I cower this table my only shield,
Before my captor, my tears to behold,
If this be the end, the terminal place to be,
I want you to know, with these cold eyes I cannot see,
The pain, the joy, the times gone by,
Held in this moment as I wish to die…
