Hide Poem by Chris Townsend

Hide

I feel this sensation, this inner bliss,
Something I can’t touch, I am afraid of this,
A sweet measure of love divine,
All within this sweet, bitter crime,
When I think I have taken control,
This pack of cards depicting life I fold,
Roses their thorns stab at my heart,
For every moment, we are far and apart,
Let me in, this place within this cold heart break,
Let me see, the truth hiding there, this outward fake,
When you cant stand, with the weight of it all,
When you step to close to the edge, free fall,
If the demons surround and take you down,
I will be here to settle your depth, that deep seated frown,
As everything rotates and settle downs,
As the drowning scream, haunts the peace of righteous sounds,
As from one to another I am profound,
Taken away, this lost and found,
Scream and sigh as the world subsides,
Shield my mind, as from demons we hide,
