I Am At One Poem by Mark Heathcote

I Am At One

Rating: 5.0

I am at one with the shadows
I am at one with the shadows chasing the end of days
I am at one with the shadows
I am at one with the shadows chasing the end of my days.

I am at one with the shadows the lore of the forest
That says leave all your schooling and come to me today
let us child play, forever and a day
come child, let us run away today.

Come child, let us play.
I am one with the stars
I am the one who'll hold you in my arms
I am the one all heavens move towards.

I am the one, and only one
you should look and see when it hails and rains.
I am the one, and only one
Who tames the storms and makes the sun give up its rays.

I am the spider at the centre of your web
come child, let us play, and let us ebb
let us ebb away together
to another shore coiled and tethered forever and a day.

I am at one with the shadows
I am at one with the shadows chasing the end of days
I am at one with the shadows
I am at one with the shadows chasing the end of my days.
