I Am A Jew Poem by Randy McClave

I Am A Jew

Rating: 5.0

One thing that maybe true
I am called a disloyal Jew,
I have been called that by a political leader
Who is a hate and a racist seeder,
I am not loyal to any political group
I will not be used or tricked to jump any hoop,
Nor am I loyal to dictators or mad kings
Only unto one God my heart truly sings,
I am not loyal to walls or cages
As they have tormented and littered my history pages,
I am not loyal to stupid taunts or idiot tweets
Which causes hate and turbulence on the streets,
I am not loyal to hatred, or to Jew baiting
Which with lies and evil many enjoy creating,
And to the gloating conniving of white supremacy
In their belief and idiocy you won't ever see me.
I am a disloyal Jew.

I am not loyal to any foreign power
At any time or at any hour,
Nor will I attest for the abuse of power at home
From Egypt and Germany my people did roam,
I am not loyal to stories that tell me who I should hate
That will not become my destiny or trait,
I am not for a legacy of exploitation or conquest
Mine will be that of an olive branch and an opened fist.

I am a loyal Jew
Which is holiness, hope, and freedom which is true,
I am loyal to the inconvenience of kindness
To cruelty and hostility I have a blindness,
I am loyal to the belief of justice and truth
It is indeed my sweetest tooth,
I am loyal to the suffering earth and to all life
As a man is loyal to his loving wife,
I am not loyal to any founding fathers as a rule of thumb
But, I am l loyal to the children that will come,
And to this world that we will present them
I don't want it to be of war, or of hate or barren and grim,
I am not loyal to what America has become
As I hear the fading of the fife and drum,
What my heart and my soul pleads to see
Is what America should, or could truly be,
I am loyal to all the huddled masses
And not to the elite and the wealthy classes.
I am a Jew.

You are a loyal Jew and this is definitely nice to declare your freedom of faith in this poem. An interesting poem is beautifully penned.
