Homeless fight
(this is a poem I wrote for " STREET SIGHTS"
(in Rhode Island which I feel comes at the right time }
There is a plight of the homeless that many of us refuse to see
But this is going on _ this is the reality.
Men, women, and children are becoming homeless every day
And it's not going to disappear by turning your back away.
It was bad enough when the economy was doing fine
But many more people have joined the unemployment line.
We are all struggling to keep our heads afloat but it's
Getting harder with the burdens that we tote.
How can one stop - or slow the process down
When there is not one politician to be found.
Street Sights has taken a great stand - but just like
Anything they need a helping hand.
Make a donation - give a dollar or two
Whatever you could afford will help a dream come true.
We Rhode Islanders have started an upwards plight
Let's show congress that dignity is a GOD given right.
And for the homeless we will stand and fight.

I would like to translate this poem
The plight of the homeless is so touchingly and astutely delineated by you alongwith the unemployment problem. How these problems will be shutout without politicians? Here I cite..are all struggling to keep our heads afloat but it's Getting harder with the burdens that we tote. How can one stop - or slow the process down When there is not one politician to be found. Beautifully put. Five stars.
