What our parents did for us, we are too bounded to do it for our parents as well as for our children as well as to the society. Amitava, this is a great message here. A man has to take care of his family, has to work and earn money so they can eat and be brought up correctly. Yet man has to contribute also to society, and he has to find ways of doing so. Sometimes men get so caught up in this cycle, as you have shown with your repetitive lines in the beginning, that they don't know what else they're supposed to be doing. Besides earning money, eating and bringing up children, life is much more than these selfish pursuits! Man is a social being and each man has to grow beyond himself into the society at large! Very cleverly put, Amitava! The repetition of the lines show our morbid preoccupation with our own self!
