His Tender Coup Poem by Danusha Marie

His Tender Coup

He looks so deep into my eyes
So deep into my soul
Walls begin to crumble
Exposing heart’s role

Vulnerable naked emotions
Are simmering beneath
Rippling upon the surface
My spirit is replete

Waking dormant hopes
Hidden from the light
Summoning the courage
For optimism’s fight

Reaching a place deep within
Dormant for years
Hostage to despair
Watered by my tears

He touches my skin
A kiss so true
Unlocking potential
His tender coup
