Danusha Marie Poems

A lie is bitter
Stain on the soul
Muddies the waters
To what end or goal
...

The melody of love
Is a vibrant track
With highs and lows
The lyrics pull you back
...

3.

I came into this world
A mixed blessing
Cast in stone
Emotions all a swirl
...

I found myself
After many years
Trials and tribulations
Too many tears
...

A broken heart is tender
A bruise upon the soul
Wounded by a lover
Who failed his only role
...

I had a plan
I chose a path
Made a commitment
Settled in
...

I woke up at the edge
Of life today
I could see my path
And where I strayed
...

The heart and mind
Play funny games
Battle for billing
Fear or logic
...

I’ve left the past in its place
Transferred disappointments to lessons learned
Sweet memories close, not to chase
Cashing in pain for happiness earned
...

Lightening does strike twice
Perhaps for me it shall strike thrice
For the unknown is vast and wide
And my heart, for only so long can hide
...

11.

Trust is a gift
Vulnerability
Naked and raw
From soul to soul
...

Wistful whims and joyful dalliances
Were childlike ways
A carefree indulgence
Skipping stones
...

A heart once broken
In time can mend
To love oneself
To have faith again
...

When the heart skips a beat
Is it love or fear it feels
Both, perhaps at once it seems
It calls for something, in fact it screams
...

My heart was guarded
Behind this thick wall
Built brick by brick
With each of life's fall
...

Time falls
Like silk to the floor
Crumpled yet beautiful
Shaped by what was before
...

He looks so deep into my eyes
So deep into my soul
Walls begin to crumble
Exposing heart’s role
...

His lips are sweet
Like drips of honey
Tender passion
Stirring emotion
...

She moved across the stage
Toes pointed
Arms gracefully extended
Each movement telling her story
...

To write is to exhale
The words take shape
I'm vulnerable to exposing
Truths hidden behind my veil
...

Danusha Marie Biography

I'm what one may refer to as a 'late bloomer' having not grown into full expression of my passions for writing, poetry, research and painting. Now that my children have grown and it's my time, I devote that time fully to my creative endeavors. As St. Augustine said, 'Where your pleasure is, there is your treasure: where your treasure, there your heart; where your heart, there your happiness.' I have never been more fulfilled and happy than I am in being true to my treasure!)

The Best Poem Of Danusha Marie

Liars Curse

A lie is bitter
Stain on the soul
Muddies the waters
To what end or goal

Selfish deception
To suit the need
Of a liars web
Woven with greed

A flaw of character
Or lack of couth
The ugly act
Of hiding the truth

Trust is withered
Gone from sight
Such is the consequence
And a liars plight

Yet irony shows
In time will reveal
The wicked ways
Of what is real

Speak with honesty
For better or worse
Live in dignity
And remove the curse
