Her Name Was The Sea, Mine Was The Sun Poem by Micah Kistler

Her Name Was The Sea, Mine Was The Sun

I knew a man who went to a city by the ocean.
They say the angels reside there.
My angel lived in that city.
She had golden skin and long, brown hair
but without a care,
With the devil's cruel snare,
Fate has always been unkind to that boyish man.
That man that they turned into monster,
That boy who is cruel
Because the other children were cruel
To call him a fool,
To say how bad of a broken tool
This boyish man must be
Because he hath no skin on one bone
But let it him
to let it be known
How much is building up within;
Enough is enough!
My angel resided with me for seven years.
I hope for more,
but now I have a heaven built by tears
because I needed to concern, worry, and fear
For my angel, whom is no longer around.
Where uncertainty rams its head and says 'Hello, '
I am the sun and my angel,
The one angel,
resides now by the sea.
She is leaving me here crying,
Wondering if she is thinking of me.
If she could move mountains,
Then she has moved the day.
But I now have storms in my way
therefore I can only long for the day
Where her rays of sunshine
Will never take mine away.
My storms will loom forever,
My days will be dark,
My night will never be the same.
My heart will wish that she is here
Telling me everything is okay.
For today, that man had died
Drowning in the gray.
