How Cruel Poem by Micah Kistler

How Cruel

Rating: 5.0

How cruel it must be to love
When love will never be given in return
The only thought is spiraling
When gifts wither to ash and burn
My only flower to you has gone
Love is always cruel

I have nothing left to give
Because I gave my last rose to you
It's my fault, love
And my humility stands true
My heartbreak stands tall
Because my heart belongs to you
If I gave my love to another
Then I will be a fool
For nothing lasts forever
Time is always cruel

I miss you dearly
My soul is lost
But I understand the price I paid
For losing you was the cost
Please remember me fondly
Just as my heart stands true
For I will never love another
My last and only flower
Now belongs to you
I can only wish for you back
Life is always cruel
