Her Name Poem by Lauren Elizabeth Ware

Her Name

Rating: 4.0

Never have I ever seen two words
fit perfectly to form a name.
The way the syllables sound rolling off
of my tongue,
provoking the desire awaiting after each
letter.

But the desire to do what?
Explore your body?
No.
It's much more profound than that.

I am craving intellectual intercourse.

An insightful depiction of the essence and intricacies of intellectual rapports in romantic relationships - a phenomenon that transcends physical attraction. Beautiful poem with rich flow of thought. Thanks for sharing Lauren.
