The Moon Swallowed The Sun Poem by Lauren Elizabeth Ware

The Moon Swallowed The Sun

Rating: 4.0

I had a dream that the moon swallowed the sun
and we lived in darkness.
Then I wondered what came and swallowed you
and left you alone.
But unlike a dream,
I will not exist only when you sleep.
I will set myself on fire
and become a new dawning
to show you the way.
You will never be alone.
