The Flower Poem by Lauren Elizabeth Ware

The Flower

Rating: 4.0

You may see her
as layer upon layer of fragility,
a beautiful thing that must be plucked.
But no matter that withering
she endures from your calloused hands,
at her center is a nourishment of strength
you will never be able to kill.
