You lift my chin and gaze at me,
your thumb brushes my cheek.
I hold my breath and wait to see
what words to me you will speak.

Your eyes search mine for signs of doubt
of your regret that you went astray.
You whisper to me of your love devout,
so grateful that I chose to stay.

I raise my hand, caress your face,
I know our love is strong.
You and I have found our place,
only to each other do we belong.

Our arms hold each other close,
we know this love is meant to be.
Together on this path we chose,
our heart, our soul, our destiny.
