Happy Room Poem by Sameer Daniel Gardner

Happy Room

There is a room in every mind,
Which when opened every once in a while,
Pours out a feeling divine,
Its effects as far reaching as a smile.

Spiritual contentment, a worldly achievement,
Or perhaps even the absence of gloom.
Perceived development, a comforting sentiment,
Are some of the keys to this room.

There are many reasons you can weld into keys,
Which open this room's door,
And as you find and lose these,
Never forget there are more.

The room has secret passages too,
Which let the happiness flow without a reason,
but these are opened by only a few,
who can open your room in any season.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if you and i,
Opened other's rooms without them knowing why,
And if we could leave every door broken,
So that the rooms wouldn't need a reason to be open...

Very profound wisdom expressed in playful and melodious verses. It is a wonderful idea to open other people's happy room, just because of no reason other than opening the room. Wonderful ideas like this configured in poetry that is touching the soul has to be read by as many as possible. Go on writing things like this. I have always dreamt of changing the world. Now I realise that contributions like this poem on the net, can make their own small contribution to the big positive change that is about to happen. Many thanks for putting this on poemhunter.
