Of grand maestros
Shankar and Jaikishan (SJ)
Is melody at its best.

Stage set in open air
Crescent moon peeping
From clear sky above
Scenic backdrop's pleasing.

Orchestra of tablas, drums
Keyboard, flute, guitar so on
All played with zest and gusto
Singers were fully engrossed.

The duo created music
Several decades back
Their haunting music
Keeps millions absorbed.

Master of ceremonies
Made the program lively
She narrated stories how SJ
Enjoyed giving us music.

Music binds people
Brings peace in the world
Legacy of the composers
Will be alive for ever and ever.
