Genesis And Omega Poem by Jordan Millar

Genesis And Omega

Many years ago in a far and distant land
There was a war of two mighty kingdoms
Each side fought valiantly until they could no more
And like sand they both crumbled under the waves of the shore
The first was Genesis, the beginning and the dawn
The second was Omega, the end where all had gone
This war was not a battle of mere men and spears
But a tournament of fire, fought with hope and fear
All men ran to Genesis in a hope to live long
Where they could escape time, evade Death's song
But time doesn't stop. It will wait for no man
Not for the fastest of men, no matter how fast they ran
There are many kingdoms between Genesis and its foe
Many stories and memories, where in the wind they will blow
From one ear to another, from one man to his brother
In the gentle stream of memories, each moment will flow
Cherish those songs, once you leave Genesis, there is no return
As you make your way to omega, trying not to be burned
