'Frozen Hearts' Poem by LOVE_AND HATE_ Lyle Ashwyn Holland

'Frozen Hearts'

Cold-blooded hearts only grow colder,
never closer. Never closer.
Love is always seemed better frozen.

The cold shoulder that boils the heart...
With the fire of anger,
that runs through the blood...
Like poison destroying all the love...
That was ever left for a new start.
Like icicles and pieces of snow,
Tears fall down from my highest hopes.
I'm soaked...

No Brain freeze can compare to the strain.
Of This Storm in my mind,
Like a blizzard in my brain.
Drowning in my thoughts.
Frozen in time,
My feet's bitten by the Frost.
If it was up to me, I'd rather be scorched...
Tossed, in the flames of hell burnt to death.
But even the Eternal couldn't hurt my flesh.
Simply because...

My Body goes below Zero from the Pain.
High class killer like Sub-Zero on cocaine.
These are the words whiter than purest.
Common as the cold, but there's no cure for this.
Comfortable in the hands of the chosen,
Love is always served best as frozen.
But tell me now...

How have you changed since I was gone?
And, Can I restore the warmth...
That once left your blood,
because you loved in vane.
And the ice around your heart...
Would melt, if you try again.
I could bring healing to the broken,
Bring heated feelings with a soft kiss,
And save yours from being frozen.
The darkness inside, be illuminated.
The light was destroyed, your smile stolen.
The flame of romance blown out.
The fiery kisses put out.

What was once love, is now bitter hatred.
Vengeance couldn't be more sweet, once tasted.
But once you go that far, there's no coming back...
From crossing the line,
you chose to end right there.
Just like that. Yes just like that...
It was over.

Cold-blooded hearts only grow colder,
never closer. Never closer.
Love is always seemed better frozen.
