From The Deep Chamber Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

From the deep chamber
Saturday,11th July 2020

Early in the morning, I heard a sweet melodious voice
it was definitely recital of prayers
along with the musical instrument
it filled my heart with excitement

How come this in the early hours?
it made me so much anxious or eager
to go near in the direction and hear
such was a magic spell in the air

poetry and music are powerful elements
that present close proximity
with nature and human being
and that brings divinity within'

I found some elderly woman
in white cloth and seemed perfect human
fully dedicated to the Lord
the words magically flew in the silent air

it was an appeal from the heart
calling for the names as prayer art
it was a real knock from the deep camber
I really appreciateddevotion on part of her
