Friendship Poem by Amanda Boucher

Friendship

Sometimes we take friendship for granted
We see a smile, but we don’t care about the tear
Sometimes we see the signs of a lonely heart
Instead of reaching out we rather keep a distance
Seldom have we realized that the joke is to hide the sorrow
Sometimes we think we can handle all the arrows been thrown to us
But sometimes to keep things for yourself can kill you in an instant
Don’t be afraid to share, burdens becomes lighter
To say something out loud is to bring wisdom back in the echo
Sometimes the answer you were looking for comes back in the word of someone else
Don’t be afraid to pray for help, but remember to listen with your heart
Recognize the answer when it’s given to you
I pray that you will receive all that you need for this day
I pray that you will feel the love that Jesus has for you through a stranger’s smile
I pray that you will hear His whisper in the leaves as the wind passes by
I pray that you will feel His tears in the rain that brushes your cheek
May your footsteps be close to those of the Lord
May your remember to keep focused on Him
