Forgiving Poem by Kiki Marie

Didn't you notice the hurt you set on me?
Staying mad at you didn't help.
I was so angry for what you did.
I can't forgive you, it's not how it works.

I'm not opening up.
All the pain within.
Consumed in bitterness & rage.
Maybe you've been hurt too.

Forgiving you, like God did me,
Isn't going to be that easy.
But the weight will be liften.
I'm finally ready to be set free.

Forgiving you helped release the pain.
I can think of the good again.
Now i am at a sense of peaece.
Letting go of this grudge needed to happen.
