Food Prep: Meat Prep



The axe cracks dully into the horse's head,
It's gruesome but the lions need to be fed.
We swing and we hack and we hack 'til it's through,
Through skull and through jaw 'til that head is in two.
The bone chips away like shavings of wood,
And flesh fires forth with each brutal thud.
But soon the divide is complete and we see
The tongue and the teeth and the brain cavity.
We walk with each half, bleeding and damp
To the lions and heave them both into the camp.
On the head that was so very skillfully cleft,
The lions will feast not a scrap will be left.
And after the fun of the head being split
We must squeeze the intestines and clean them of sh...!
