Five Liners 41--45 Poem by Indira Renganathan

Five Liners 41--45

Rating: 5.0

41 Brevity

Brevity is so valuable
Like just that one morsel of food
In abject poverty, like 'a stitch in time'
Saving us timely in words and actions
Certainly brevity is so valuable

42 Their Eyes Talked

'You said you will not touch me
But you have touched my heart'
'You too said you would not talk
But you've talked now'...Bursted their smiles
while their eyes were talking with impish glee

43 Tiger
I do not come to your woods
For your claws or skin or any
Nor your flesh for me a meat many
Just a promise, from me and you
Both not to kill, to swear by the woods

44 Forgetfulness

Caught in a tangled web, 'lost, lost'
You cry every second.Your 'forgetfulness'..
Losing this and that panicked you cry
Your weak memory--true or false?
Please do think on whom I have now lost

45 Respectfulness
Respectfulness is to revere
To regard others though not
For reasons many but simply
For them being humans like you
Respectfulness is to revere

Five gems of five liners. Each one reflects the different aspect of life and takes us through the journey in the wisest way. Outstanding series. Beyond ratings...
