Field Of Yellow Dreams Poem by Jennifer Colyne Hall

Field Of Yellow Dreams

Rating: 4.5

I stand in front of you
Almost every night
As you look past me
Through the smoke clouds
Grab onto a soft cloud
As it sails by
Ride it into a field
Yellow daisies like a blanket
Running over the hills and valleys
As he stares into her eyes
Fantasy escapes in a cloud of smoke
He is alone, as I stare from not far
His arm supports him as his dreamy state
The box he looks into so bright
Becomes a dreamy field of daisies
As he remembers...
She was once his light,
Now just a plastic box

Love the daisies. See them growing in the field near my home. Well-woven imagery. Thanks.
