Did you ever feel the power of hunger?
And went under the trauma of anger!
How did you manage it later?
When nothing was offered to eat here

This is felt by rich and poor
The poor sleep on the floor
And keep the doors open
Rich has the fear of property being stolen

The poor have an open sky above
And earth below to drive
Aimlessly yet to survive
With no fear of living

The poor have nothing to lose
But with full faith to suppose
"tomorrow shall bring the bright light"
And everything will turn right

There is legendry saying for the poor
"God lives in the disguise of the stranger"
So respect even unknown
If he knocks the door to own some food

Poverty is a burning problem
Yet we sing the national anthem
To treat them with equal respect
And help them in fact

Not the poo, but the poverty
It should be the major priority
For any country
To address it properly
