bushes encroaching on grass
blocking caretaker from cleaning
i have it cut; also tree branches
to look wider, cleaner; beautiful
more room for my mind to roam
wind will freely pass; refreshing
lucky day i see cardinal atop
observing what have we done
picking on displaced insects
surveying, i didn't disturb its lair
i smile thinking she has purpose
maybe admiring, new scenery
