Eyes Turned Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Eyes Turned

Rating: 5.0

Words failed to create impact
Heart failed to react
Eyes turned dry
There was nothing left to try

The person was holding gun
I decided to vanish with run
But he was stubborn and cruel
His eyes spoke nothing well

I knew end was now near
As I had precious jewels here
The cash was hidden in shelf
The ornaments were worn on self

His intention was only to rob
But I could not stop sobbing
The life’s saving was to be taken away
The thief was about to find way

I pleaded but failed on deaf ears
He had lot of dreams to bear
He had thought of murdering even
But rest of the things turned all of sudden

His heart was beating very fast
He thought of action last
Suddenly it struck to hind
He was human and that too very kind

He decided not to carry anything
He drew gun back and offered back everything
It was change of heart with some feelings
He wanted to rob but not to kill anyone

He thought” it may run into bloodshed”
Even though without money he was simply dead
Yet that did not matter now for his thought
He stood ground well in isolation and fought
