Except I Care Poem by Oni Omotayo

Except I Care

A tearful eye have turned away from my dearly beloved
A relief I've crave from the misery of love,
I've let go the dreams I had about you
I've given up on my feelings
And never to remember what I cherished in you
I nursed a beautiful garden for you
I looked back in a moment alas! It's no more
The blossoms have fallen away
The green leafs is scorched in the burning sun
The edge is broken down, it field is trodden upon
The beast had trampled it beautiful vase
The wind blew from the Far East, it carried it all away
My thought flows down the lane of memories
But it no longer had your name on its crystal rock
Never remember what primed my passion
Not even the urge that spit my affections
I wonder how much I've forgotten
Oh how love could flap its wings and take on the winds
Could I have ever said those words?
Or wrote a note full of promises
Oh how the rain quenched the flame of love!
I obviously care and can not cease to,
Don't ask why, I do wish I know.
What have you done to me? ?
The dreams I built for you is no more
All I have is the will that hold this pen.
You turned your back when I called
You shut your eyes when I cried
You cover yourself in deep sleep when for you my slumber is broken
You betrayed the labors of my heart
And the beauty of your crown you can not see
Since you hurt me all you can
Nothing else is worth keeping except the will that says I care
Oh the pain of loving you! Oh the misery I went through! !
How much I've bestow on those who will never know
Say me well to love, fair wishes to her grief.
Yet she has no room to rest her troubled wings
No comfort to rest her misery
There is much unkindness in the heart her beloved.
