Eucalyptis Tree Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Eucalyptis Tree

Eucalyptus Tree

My head bent backwards
And my eyes open wide
To witness the height
Of this tree.

In imagination it was not.
It was completely real.
What was wrong
I didn't understand.

This tree's height
Made it sway
From left to right
Under the undulating rays of the sun.

The Eucalyptus tree looked
Way down on me now
And laughed at me on the ground below.
So we each had fun natur-ally.

now that you mention it Vera, they can look as if they're laughing. Some are spooky though
