Ethnic Mix Poem by Alan Bruce Thompson

Ethnic Mix

All nations, all colors, all creeds come through,
We must not wonder what it is that we do.

We all sleep, we all eat, we all like to make love,
We all have some notion of someone up above.

Sometimes lazy, sometimes busy, we all like to have fun,
To swim, to run, to sit in the sun.

We all hate war, but we are violent all the same,
Sadly we are usually innocent pawns in a game.

It is said, if we have faith then we must not relent,
The condition is that all wishes have good intent.

We know that evil is in the hands of a few,
But goodness will prevail, if we can always renew
